About our privacy policy
We only process data that we need for (improving) our services and treat the information collected about you and your use of our services with care. We never make your data available to third parties for commercial purposes.
This privacy policy applies to the use of the Basal Basics website and the services accessed on it. The effective date for the validity of these terms and conditions is 01/01/2019, with the publication of a new version, the validity of all previous versions expires. This privacy policy describes what information about you is collected by us, what this information is used for, and with whom and under what conditions, if any, this information may be shared with third parties.

What personal data do we process?
We use your information solely for the purpose of providing our services. To perform our services, we need certain information from you, first and last name, address information, phone number and e-mail address.
Web store software
Woocommerce
Our online store is developed with software from Woocommerce. Personal information that you make available to us for the purpose of our services will be shared with this party. Woocommerce has access to your data to provide us with (technical) support, they will never use your data for any other purpose. Woocommerce is required by the agreement we have with them to implement appropriate security measures. These security measures include the use of SSL encryption and a strong password policy. Woocommerce is a certified processor of credit card data. Woocommerce uses cookies to collect technical information related to your use of the software, no personal data is collected and/or stored. Woocommerce reserves the right to share collected data within its own group to further improve its services. Woocommerce takes into account the applicable legal retention periods for (personal) data. The EU/US Privacy Shield applies, your data may be processed in the United States.
Outlook
We use the services of Microsoft Outlook for our regular business e-mail traffic. This party has taken appropriate technical and organizational measures to prevent abuse, loss and corruption of your and our data as much as possible. Outlook does not have access to our inbox and we treat all our e- mail traffic confidentially.
Payment processors
Mollie
For handling (part of) the payments in our online store, we use the platform of Mollie. Mollie processes your name, address and city information and your payment information such as your bank account or credit card number. Mollie has taken appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data. Mollie reserves the right to use your data to further improve the service and as part of this, share (anonymized) data with third parties. All of the above safeguards regarding the protection of your personal data also apply to those parts of Mollie's services for which it engages third parties. Mollie does not retain your data longer than permitted by the legal time limits.
Medical Professionals Account
BIG register
During the creation of a medical professional account, we check whether the personal data entered matches the BIG register. For the BIG register, CIBG processes personal data based on the Individual Healthcare Professions Act (Wet BIG).

Reviews
Webshop Hallmark
We collect reviews through the platform of Webshop Keurmerk. If you leave a review through Webshop Keurmerk you are required to provide your name, city and email address. Webshop Keurmerk shares this data with us so we can link the review to your order. Webshop Keurmerk also publishes your name and place of residence on its own website. In some cases, Webshop Keurmerk may contact you to provide an explanation of your review. In case we invite you to leave a review we share your name and email address with Webshop Keurmerk. Misi handles shipping of Basal Basics' packages and related billing. This requires that we share your name, address and residence information with Misi. Misi uses this data only for the purpose of executing the agreement.
DHL
When you place an order with us, our job is to get your package delivered to you. We use the services of DHL to make deliveries. This requires that we share your name, address and place of residence information with DHL. DHL uses this data only for the purpose of performing the contract. In the event that DHL engages subcontractors, DHL will also make your data available to these parties.
Invoicing and accounting
Woocommerce
For maintaining our records and accounting, we use the services of Woocommerce. We share your name, address and residence information and details related to your order. This data is used to administer sales invoices. Your personal data is transmitted and stored in a protected manner. Woocommerce is committed to confidentiality and will keep your information confidential. Woocommerce does not use your personal data for any purposes other than those described above.
Automatically collected data
Data automatically collected by our website is processed for the purpose of further improving our services. This data (for example, your anonymized ip address, web browser and operating system) is not personal data.

Retention periods
We will keep your information for as long as you are a client of ours. This means that we retain your customer profile until you indicate that you no longer wish to use our services. If you indicate this to us, we will also take this as a forgetting request. Pursuant to applicable administrative obligations, we must retain invoices containing your (personal) data, so we will retain this data for as long as the applicable term runs. However, employees no longer have access to your client profile and documents we have produced as a result of your assignment.
Your rights

In principle, to prevent misuse, we send copies and transcripts of your data only to your e-mail address already known to us. In case you wish to receive the data at a different e-mail address or by mail, for example, we will ask you to identify yourself. We keep records of completed requests, in the case of a forgetting request we administer anonymized data. You will receive all transcripts and copies of data in the machine-readable data format we use within our systems.
You have the right to file a complaint with the Personal Data Authority at any time if you suspect that we are using your personal data in an inappropriate manner.

If your request is granted, we will send you a confirmation at the e-mail address known to us that the data will no longer be processed until you lift the restriction.
Right to transferability
You always have the right to have the data we process (or have processed) that relates to your person or can be traced back to you by another party. You may make a request to that effect to our privacy contact. You will then receive a response to your request within 30 days. If your request is granted, we will send you copies or transcripts of all data about you that we have processed or have processed on our behalf by other processors or third parties at the e-mail address known to us. In all likelihood, we will no longer be able to continue providing services in such a case, as the secure linking of data files can no longer be guaranteed.
Right to object and other rights

If you object, we will immediately cease data processing pending resolution of your objection.
