Fundamentals

Dentist Hans Beekmans: “As a dentist I can quickly tell if there is a calcium and magnesium deficiency; a patient has cavities or is grinding and often the gums do not look good.”
Intake of calcium and magnesium helps improve the situation. After filling the cavities and with the help of supplements, new cavities no longer appear, the gums recover and the grinding stops.
Fundamentals is designed to support the energy producing parts of the body’s cells.
Our body consists of cells. Very important cell parts are the mitochondria, which produce energy. These mitochondria cannot produce energy without calcium and magnesium. If for some reason there is too little calcium and magnesium in the cells, these minerals are removed from the teeth by the body. That is why many people have problems with their teeth and gums.
Calcium and magnesium must be taken together in a 2:1 ratio for the proper functioning of the mitochondria. For optimal operation it is necessary to make a connection. This is done by adding apple cider vinegar. (Calcium needs an acidic environment to be absorbed in the intestines, but with magnesium the environment becomes alkaline. The apple cider vinegar provides the acidic environment and therefore ensures good absorption).
Fundamentals therefore offers a balanced combination of calcium and magnesium to which potassium, manganese, iron, iodine, copper and zinc have also been added. And in addition, very importantly, vitamin D3 and vitamin K2. Vitamin D3 is essential for the absorption of minerals from the intestines. People with a vitamin D3 deficiency certainly have a problem with the absorption of calcium and magnesium and often have problems with their teeth and bones (osteoporosis). Vitamin K2 is essential for proper distribution of calcium and magnesium.
The combination of minerals and vitamins in the Fundamentals ensures that there are no mineral deficiencies, which means they do not need to be removed from the teeth. With sufficient calcium and magnesium, the mitochondria can produce the necessary energy, allowing every cell in our body, from brain cells to immune cells, to function optimally – and thus the entire body.
Take the Fundamentals together with something fatty, for example a 50 gram piece of cheese, a handful of macadamia nuts, half an avocado or a sausage. It must have substance, so a spoonful of oil is not enough and a bowl of yogurt with 10% fat is not fat enough either. Ingesting fat prevents any nausea that may be caused by the calcium and magnesium being coated with apple cider vinegar. This coating ensures that the magnesium and calcium are properly absorbed by the body.
The number of capsules you take depends on your burn rate, which differs per person. On average it is:
men: 8 capsules
women: 4 capsules
children: 1 per 15 kg body weight.

A tall person who works hard needs 1 gram of calcium and half a gram of magnesium per day. You can’t get all the calcium and magnesium you need from supplements. A large part should come from the diet: vegetables, meat, fish, cheese, yogurt, butter, milk kefir and nuts. To supplement this diet, an average of 8 capsules is needed: 4 in the morning and 4 before bedtime.
A small, not very active person could suffice with 4 capsules: 2 capsules in the morning and 2 before bedtime.
For children 1 capsule per 15 kg body weight. But their level of activity is also different. Very active children use a lot of calcium and magnesium, so they need more supplements.
It is best to take the Fundamentals twice a day: in the morning after getting up and the second time half an hour before going to bed. Calcium and magnesium cannot be stored for a whole day. Moreover, we also use energy at night. All kinds of recovery processes then take place and of course breathing continues, as does blood flow, liver function, the kidneys, small movements you make, maintaining your temperature, partial metabolism, intestinal function and the production of proteins and amino acids, etc. Also the brain is running at full speed, which alone consumes a quarter of our total energy production.
NB: If you experience some diarrhea, reduce the amount. You can then increase the number of capsules again until you have the desired dosage.
Calcium, magnesium, Vitamin K2 and Vitamin D3
The absorption of calcium and magnesium into the body is regulated by vitamin D3, the distribution to the right location by vitamin K2. Both are fat-soluble vitamins and that is why you need fatty foods.
