Ingredients

Natural krill oil from sustainable wild catch, vitamin E and Ubiquinol Q10

Krill oil

Krill oil is extracted from Euphasia Superba, a species of krill that lives around the South Pole. These are shrimp-like sea creatures that belong to the animal plankton. The krill is obtained in a sustainable and environmentally friendly manner. This ecologically sound fishing method has no unwanted bycatch of fish or seals. For this purpose, it collaborates with the World Wildlife Fund. The shrimp owe their red color to the natural carotenoid astaxanthin, a dark red pigment extracted from a microscopic alga Haematococcus pluvialis. Carotenoids are pigment colors found in nature.

Vitamin E

Vitamin E is not a single substance, but in nature and in our diet, it consists of four tocopherols and four tocotrienols. This is also known as vitamin E complex. Alpha, Beta, Gamma and Delta D-alpha-tocopherol and gamma-tocopherol are the best known. The other major vitamin E forms are beta-tocopherol, delta-tocopherol, alpha-tocotrienol, beta-tocotrienol, gamma-tocotrienol and delta-tocotrienol. Tocotrienol vitamin E with patented Tocomin SupraBio™ contains the full spectrum of vitamin E. This vitamin E is fat-soluble and is made from sustainable red palm oil. Vitamin E has antioxidant activity against free radicals, it helps protect tissues and cells from oxidative damage and influences of pollution and UV radiation and supports the natural defense system of the body's cells.

Ubiquinol

Basic Oils contains 200 mg of Ubiquinol, a biological form of Q10. Kaneka Ubiquinol™, the patented product from the Japanese company Kaneka, is all-natural. Kaneka began its product line in 1977 with Kaneka Q10® (coenzyme Q10). It took a long time until Ubiquinol could be made on a large scale because it oxidizes rapidly when exposed to air and light. Consequently, Kaneka spent more than a decade researching Ubiquinol before bringing it to market. In 2007, more than 30 years after the introduction of coenzyme Q10, Kaneka launched its next-generation coenzyme Q10 product, Kaneka Ubiquinol™ based on a sound and patented manufacturing process. As a leading developer of unique ingredients, Kaneka stands for reliability, quality and purity.
